ABOUT THIS PAGE:
This gallery seems extensive but is actually a small random sampling of patent technical illustration work completed during the years of operation between 2000-2009.
At the time, each and every case was handled above and beyond the call of what was sufficient. The extent of the effort that went to these images often exceeded the realm or practicality; wherein every non-graph illustration was being reverse drafted from hand-sketches into full 3D model space. This amounted to a substantial 3D modeling, surfacing, and scripting experience on somewhat two thousand projects over the years; contributing to a rather intimate familiarity with the Rhino3D modeling application which often spilled over in form of free contributions to the online community, either in the form of assisting fellow designers with modeling tips or in form of programming (Rhino VB scripts at the time) utilities and scripts, originally for internal use, but leter made available for all free of charge (as seen on other parts of this site).
The work was always done with precision in mind (proper modeling techniques for air-tight light-weight NURBS surfaces) as if each case would be 3D printed or machined. This extra work was done out of hobby and for the love of 3D surfacing; the majority of which was unpaid (the customer was only charged the industry going rate for patent drawings).
